Colorado is a national leader in tech, boasting a $28.48 billion GDP output in the information technology sector and ranking in the top 10 states for high-tech share of total workforce. Well over 12% of the state’s jobs are technology-related and Colorado has the fifth largest concentration of tech jobs compared to the overall employment base in the U.S. The state is home to several tech, telecommunications and media-focused Fortune 500 companies. Last year, the state invested more than $5.70 billion in research and development funding.
