Technology’s Impact in Vermont

While Vermont is known for its rich agricultural industry, the tech sector makes up a quarter of the state’s total employment and nearly a third of its private employment. More than 75,000 Vermonters work in the tech industry, as just under 10% of all jobs in the state are technology-focused. State economists estimate that tech workers earn more than 88% more than people in non-tech jobs and tech jobs generate about $6 billion annually in wages throughout the state’s economy.
